LEAP-Agri is a joint Europe Africa Research and Innovation (R&I) initiative related to Food and Nutrition Security and Sustainable Agriculture (FNSSA). The LEAP-Agri consortium funded 27 projects, involving 250 African and European teams from 20 countries. These projects, including EaTSANE cover a large range of thematic related to the Food system.
The project "HealthyLAND - Linking Agriculture and Nutrition for a healthy Diet" has been carried out from 2015 until 2018 and was funded by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL), Germany. The project aimat at a positive link between nutrition security and farm practices and addressing vicious cycles. HealthyLAND provided the network of collborators, experiences in the field and results to design the EaTSANE project.
